You’d get the same answer if you asked, “Are you an idiot or a crook?”

You would get a better answer if you ask if he preferred stout or bitter, or maybe a good lager to drink. You might just get him to take a stand, or maybe a seat, or at least a swig, on that issue

The apostle Paul would answer something like this: I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more. And to the capitalists I became as a capitalist, that I might win capitalists; to the socialists I became socialist, that I might win the socialists; I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some. 1st Corinthians 9:19-22 (modified)

A social capitalist or a capital socialist?

No PURE system works, only a blended one will work. The argument is in the proportions of the recipe.

There is a nuanced answer there, but would the press really be able to understand it.

I got a survey call a while back. The first question was “Do you consider yourself to be a Republican, a Democrat or an Independent?” I said “No”. They didn’t know what to do with that answer, said thank you, and quietly hung up. 8^)
