That’s still no excuse, Elizabeth — in my opinion — why you didn’t ask El to borrow her lipstick. (Happy Father’s Day to you too, John Patterson, DDS.)
Elizabeth may have had good intentions, but she did not get her mother’s permission to use the lipstick. Not sure how one would discipline this, though.
Liz didn’t only use the lipstick without permission (which I think Elly would have given her), but she has used up the entire tube. That’s not necessary. Yes, it was for a sweet reason, but the sweet card could have been made without causing problems to another person. We were all kids, and we make mistakes. One day when my mother was napping, I used her lipstick and other makeup to make myself up as a “wild Indian”. When Mom awoke, she was not pleased, and made that clear to me. However, I then received some “kid’s” lipstick and other makeup, which I was free to use when the urge hit me to go on the “warpath.”

Okay. I am thinking an interestingly satisfying gift for fathers day is making Mom feel like a heal.
