My thoughts exactly when I see Chevy commercials. “My won’t that look nice in my driveway.” Because like a ROCK! Rocks stay in a driveway too and never MOVE! I had two of them which goes to show how stupid I am.
Reminds me of every Corvette owner I ever knew. Their ’Vets spent more time off the road than on. The owners were always tweaking and tinkering with ’em.
This reminds me of an old comedy routine. One fellow says he has a Rolls. Not a Rolls Royce, but a Rolls Carnardly. It rolls down one hill and can hardly make it up the next one.
While I appreciate a classic car, i don’t comprehend why people have these cars for daily use. My first rule for vehicles is reliability. IF I have money for a show car, that’s a different vehicle from my everyday car.
Back in the 60s I had a son in law with a cool looking car that would fail to start at least once a week With his repair cost I was finally able to convince him he could buy a new S10 pickup for less than his repair bills. The bonus, he got to work 5 day a week. He finally learned it don’t pay to drive a junker.

Maybe you can earn some money renting it out as a status symbol.

Much like a woman who will wear a swimsuit but will never get it wet. Me on the other hand, always will.

The very definition of my hubby’s custom bike, aka The Mistress. It spends more time in the shop than on the road.

What’s that supposed to be? It doesn’t really look vintage to me.

That’s the secret to owning a mid-sixties British sports car: never drive it further than you’re willing to walk home.
Old joke: Why do the British drink their beer at room temperature ? Because Lucas makes their refrigerators!
