Annie and Crystal already have something in common!… and Annie has a surprise for Honeymoon. I wonder how Crystal gets to swim in the pool of the very expensive hotel before she even meets Annie.

I’m sure she was cleared for entry.

I’d say that the connxions between Dick Tracy, Honeymoon and Crystal opened the way to contact Annie and Crystal got there first.

Joe’s [and Shelley’s] graphics are so lifelike, with a cartoony edge.

Is Annie blind? :)

Hard to believe Annie is old!

Again, the numbers don’t quite add up.

About how old is Annie supposed to be now? ✨

There was a story in a Richie Rich comic book in which his dad refused to let him spend money needlessly, and lectured him about the value of money.

These two kids have an immediate connection, since it appears that neither one of them can see.

I say, ’tis a splendid, golly good strip today.

What is the surprise that Annie has for Honeymoon?

If Honeymoon was in the pool, would she short circuit? ;-)

Annie hair is roo brown.

1- ANNIE: Hey kid. I think there’s too much chlorine in the pool. It turned your hair green. 2- KID: My hair was brown till you put your feet in the pool stinkfoot. Yikes! And my swimsuit was white! 3- ANNIE: Wheeeee! I have super powers! KID: I better get outta here before my teeth melt.

Annie looks fabulous today, especially her hairstyle! (I didn’t like the “wild” way she wore it a few days ago.)

I’m starting to wonder if Warbucks had Punjab send Trixie…elsewhere.

I wonder why the way Annie looks seems to clash to me. Blinked-out eyeballs are weird, but why do they seem weirder than a flat-topped head, a prune face, or guy whose head actually looks like the moon?

Several artistic styles. There were some Disney cartoon books that used 2 different artists. One for the characters of Mickey and Donald, and then everyone and thing is draw realistically. Wish I could find those. Also I had some “Korak Son of Tarzan” did the same thing with two different artists one for the characters the other for everything else. I found it interesting.

The kids have a rendezvous at the hotel pool, but Honeymoon is late for the meet; that gives Annie (whose hair should be brighter, redder) and Crystal a chance to exchange tales and become acquainted before the third link in the chain of friends arrives. The girls may just splash around and chat for a couple of strips, or they may get out of the water and start playing detective right away….
