Funny how Garfield comforts the audience but he torments Jon for comedy.

Are you sure about that? Can’t excessive laughter put one in stitches?

Years ago (around 1983 or 1984-ish), my husband had an emergency surgery due to appendicitis (his high pain tolerance caused him to ignore the discomfort until it actually started leaking). Bill Cosby’s “Himself” was showing on cable & my father-in-law had recorded it so my husband could see it. I advised my husband to wait to watch it until he was a little better recovered. When I thought the time was right, I pulled out the VHS. Guess what? The time wasn’t right…and he had to go back in & get restitched.

or a recently operated arm, broken by a car…..slightest movement causes pain, laughter, I don’t even want to try.

Having had stitches, I can verify what Garfield is saying…so I didn’t watch or read anything funny for a couple of weeks!

or…. diarrhea!

After all these exceptions, I’m thinking Garf is wrong on this laughter thing.

I have a friend who told the worst jokes….not funny at all….until I had an emergency appendectomy…..he came in the next day and told the funniest joke….I couldn’t help but laugh….but oh, how it hurt.

With the kind of hate Don Trump spews nearly every day its kind of hard to laugh these days.

If laughter is good medicine, then why does it hurt so much ?

or sneezes…don’t sneeze with stitches either :)
