Mr. Ramirez doesn’t mind that Barr is covering the Rump’s butt.

After two and one half years of Trump displaying anger and contempt for anyone who won’t break the law at his direction, now you’re upset? Because a Trump hireling spouts a self-serving legal opinion to keep the Fat Man placated, you actually believe it’s the law? Or is it just time to play “Sheldon Says” again?

The Michael Ramirez reality reversal is accelerating.

The Congress is seeking to comply with its oversight and legislative obligations and is issuing appropriate subpoenas to compel witnesses, documents and other evidence it needs for its oversight and legislative responsibilities.

There is no basis on which Attorney General William Barr (or Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin or IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig) can legitimately refuse their respective subpoenas. All are for legitimate oversight and legislative purposes, and there is no such thing as “blanket” executive privilege or privilege simply to shut down an investigation of wrongdoing.

And as to the claim many CONservative are raising about seeking confidential grand jury testimony, this is routinely waived in matters of oversight as it was in Watergate, Iran-Contra, Whitewater and many other investigations.

Ramirez is now proving himself to be nothing more than a propaganda puppet for a corrupt administration.

Some principled conservatives have repudiated this lawless gang of political thugs whose policies bear no resemblance to anything conservative. Clearly Ramirez is not among the ranks of serious, thoughtful conservatives. What a pathetic shell of a man who once cartooned for the great Los Angeles Times.

Hundreds of former federal prosecutors sign a letter stating their beliefs that Trump committed felony obstruction of justice and the AG does nothing? Please, Mr. Ramirez, you’ve gotta too blind.

Barr’s father hired Epstein at Dalton.

Trump was accused of raping children at Epstein’s NY mansion.

Alex Acosta shut down the investigation into Epstein’s multiple rape charges.

Trump appointed Acosta as Labor Sec and Barr as AG.

I was hoping the Democrats would be better than this. They should be emonstrating to us how they will fix immigration and gun control. They are wasting everyone’s time, money and patience fighting a useless battle with Trump that will go away in less than 2 years. Show us now what you can do better than Trump or get ready for 4 more years with Trump.

The House submitted a subpoena for Barr to testify and he refused, saying that he didn’t want to answer questions from lawyers. Barr’s refusal is a crime. Ramirez, Trump and the Repubs are falsely claiming that the House is revealing grand jury testimony as a distraction. Barr needs to answer questions about his “summary”, his press conference and other testimony because there are so many contradictions between each of these and the Mueller report.

Perjury is not illegal if it’s committed by a Republican, right?

There’s enough in the redacted report to justify investigation of impeachable offenses. Maybe it’s better to hold off, but that’s a different question. When we can see so clearly that there’s a clear case that the President obstructed justice, should we just let that go?
