Do you have an affinity for ones and zeros?

Two future robot worries: Artificial Stupidity, Artificial Emotions.

There is still a possibility that we are in a MATRIX-type of program, since physics and the entire universe can be defined mathematically so perfectly. We would have no way of knowing or finding out.

I don’t know how it stacks up philosophically but I know I’m rational because i can choose to be irrational. I know picking up a penny will not make a difference, yet i choose to do so. The ability to be silly is the best proof of rationality.

Malfunction! Need data!

Honestly, I think I’m real but I can’t for the life of me (HA!) figure out why I need to reboot almost every night.

Those memories? Implants… designed to keep you from going “off the deep end”. Does anyone remember Monty’s “incept date”? ;-)

Sometimes i wonder what my other ’me’s’ in all the other dimensions are doing..

Am “I” the thoughts, or am “I” the awareness observing the brain having thoughts?

God created the entire Universe 5 minutes ago, you with your memories of a past life completely intact. Kind of an interesting idea until you realize he’s about to crumple it all up and chuck it in the trash as another bad idea.

Is there even a condition to prove your consciousness to someone else? If it’s possible to find it difficult to prove your consciousness to YOURSELF I imagine it must be quite hard.

What? Me, worry? —Just leave to the Great Programmer. (Or, for E.B., arrange a Turing Test….)
