    Andy once gave Flo a similar lecture when she bet on a horse just because it looked at her. It did, of course, win, much to Andy’s annoyance.

    She’s been with you to the races before, Andy, so it can’t be Beginner’s Luck, either!

    Part of Flo’s method is avoiding horses Andy bets on.

    I’m going to assume that Andy was as good at science as he was at the rest of school subjects.

    what I noticed about gamblers especially those who bet on the ponys, they want the long shots. It gives them a bigger thrill/ adrenaline rush,

    I had an ex like that.

    I’d study the racing form, learn the jockeys’ history, gauge the track, figure the odds to decide how I’d bet – win, place or show, box or wheel – before placing my bet. My distaff half would place a bet “on the nose” because she liked the colors the jockey was wearing.

    Guess who won?

    My grandmother used to pick horses with names of her grandchildren in the name! She won so many races that way! It amazed me.

    Hey, whatever works. By the way, here’s a little tip: never bet on a horse named after a brand of glue. On another note, saw a rabbit while out walking today.

    It’s not the first time her horse has won either. There has been loads of occasions where her horse won.

    Flo’s “method” rocks! Andy needs to learn a thing or two.

    @Afficionado

    Wow. GoComics must have slipped my mind lately. Sorry about that, I am still here. When I remember to be that is.

    Your old house in the middle of the street is beautiful.

    Still no luck at bingo I’m afraid. Although 2 weeks ago, I was with my Auntie and her friend and they both won apart from me. I came away with a shared sum of £20 though. So it wasn’t all bad.

    I went to some dog races once with a friend who had a “system” for picking the dogs to bet on.

    His picks lost every race.
