I do that, but I let the other party assume I was making a joke, or I just leave them confused. “Have a nice trip!” “Thanks! You too!” “Enjoy your flight!” “Thanks! You too!”

An aside: I stopped saying “have a good one” after I said it to a guy and he joked back, “thanks! you have two good ones.” That was awkward.

I went to a new restaurant last night. Near the end of the meal, I really got a scare when the waiter came around and asked me, “Any final requests, sir?”

Okay, I want that power. What a great way to both escape an embarrassing situation and look cool doing it.
