I used to watch “Charles in Charge” with a specific goal in mind. I’d wait for the setup to a joke, and then say the punchline before the actors could get it out.

She was talking to Roscoe, Earl.

And what “Smart” shows do you watch Opal ? ….. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;-)

“dumb show”….can you narrow it down, Opal? There’s a WHOLE lot of them out there!

Ugh! I have NEVER seen so many stupid, mindless shows EVER! Who ever the hell comes up with these shows need their heads examined! DUMBING DOWN AMERICA!

In “wifespeak”, Opal means that she wants to change the channel – perhaps to watch some important soap opera.

Oh, man, does that reply speak volumes. . .

That’s 99.9% of all TV shows now. They are made for idiots. I don’t watch TV anymore. I go to the titty bar instead. Now THAT is entertainment!

While the entire basis of having any kind of standard is knowing what it is and being able to compare other things to it, this IS Earl…

One of the most important things in maintaining domestic bliss is to own two television sets. My esposa marvellosa can contentedly watch her favorite telenovela (soaps) and I can happily watch my sports without friction.

Hollywood will gladly share their’s (hint, their’s is very low).

Different strokes for different folks Opal…I’d like to see what you watch…probably something Earl wouldn’t like.

He must be watching “Wheel of Fortune”.

You watch what you want on your TV, I’ll watch what I want on my TV. That is what I tell my wife. She has her TV, I’ve got mine. Then we’ve got a 3rd to watch what we both like. I know it’s dumb, but it works for us.

Sometimes I feel that way after watching Riverdale.
