And we went through it with the telegraph the telephone radio television anything new we must be very afraid of it it’s the devil’s tool. Finally 30 years later the have it.
@Number Three Today’s strip is not only not funny it’s not even about our Hero Mr Andrew Capp it just shows Jack the barman being clueless :o) right? my avatar today is a photo of me from my eldest son’s wedding album and it shows that my eyesight had improved so I had to take my glasses off to read tho I got tongue twisted a couple of times , how was your day? ours has been very busy , in the morning we did three errands in an hour in the car now we have to do our income tax forms and I have to apply for a two year re -newal of my driving licence , no rest for the wicked take care and thanks for caring pal
I bet you were feeling emotional when you delivered your speech. Your “little boy” getting married and all that.
Is all the paperwork done now? I hate doing paperwork in handwriting because with me being left handed my hand hurts after a while and I have to keep wriggling my hand about to keep the blood flow going. Or something like that.
Sometimes I miss the days when surfing the Internet was something you did at home on a computer. Now people are walking down the street looking at their phones, oblivious to the rest of the world. Don’t get me wrong, I think the Internet is a great invention, I just don’t think it should make people antisocial. On another note, finished planting my garden. It feels great to accomplish something.

I like my pubs noise free and primitive. Don’t get out much these days.

Sounds like a nice place. Well, with the notable exception of Andy Capp’s frequency there.

If you’re that attached to your device, then just get a six-pack and stay in your basement.

What is this “WiFi” you speak of?

Even the buses, here in Ecuador, have Wi-Fi. You can’t get away from being “connected”.

This is a nice, quiet little pub. Except for the frequent fights and people getting tossed out of windows.

A pub where you get wired the old fashioned way.

Like a cafe I went to in NYC: No WIFI, put down your phone and talk to each other.

Our trains don’t have Wi-Fi and I’m not bothered at all. I mosty just look out of the window at the scenery.
