I am reminded somehow of people who first played around with nuclear energy… and died terrible deaths because they didn’t know what they were messing with. And it seems to this day mankind is till making the same mistake… Chernobyl, Japan Tsunami… what’s the next big one? And nuclear energy isn’t the only such “diving headlong into the pit”.

As blunebottle says above… playing with fire. Find out what you’re dealing with before thrusting your hand into the hole.

I’m way too late for anyone to actually see this, but nearly 50 years ago I started off with this series in my physics of electricity lecture. (I probably should have written down all my physics lecture jokes for posterity—at least they kept my enrollment up over the years!!)
