Never would have figured “Agnes” for the first mainstream comic about vibrators!

Momma Trout’s bedroom supply of batteries isn’t for flashlights.

If this is being read in the newspaper by kids, this will go right over their heads. My girls saw The Odd Couple and had no idea what was so funny when Oscar growled “It took me five minutes to figure out FU meant Felix Unger.”

When I was a kid I couldn’t understand the line in My Wild Irish Rose about “Someday for love’s sake/ She may let me take/ . . .” My Mum explained the boy anted to get married and the girl wasn’t ready yet. Oh.

Trout, Get Mom some rechargeables for Christmas. When she’s recharging, so can the batteries.

The Washington Post briefly ran Agnes in the kids’ section before it was noted to them that Agnes is often not really aimed at kids.

That’s for when you lose power, like we did yesterday during the silly days of hurricane Barry!! A tree blew down over the grid by my house. Thankfully, it was only out for a couple of hours. Weird storm! We didn’t get the rain until today. Now it hasn’t stopped! Weird!!!!
