I’ve heard from people that cats are picky eaters, but in my entire life of cat ownership, I’ve never had one be picky. The closest I can think of is one that tended to fill up on chipmunks, rabbits, and birds, and thus was never hungry for cat food (though when he was kept inside, he had no trouble eating the cat food).
My cats like certain ingredients; lamb, turkey, fish; chicken is okay; beef is out. I read the labels very carefully. No reason at all to artificially color food, look for natural ingredients that the animal would most likely encounter in nature.
A thoughtful and enjoyable guest would not say a word about the food. Many times I’ve been at a table with food that doesn’t appeal to me, but I just shut up and ate it. Sheesh.

No problem scratch, you can compete with the rabbits for lettuce and tomatoes!

Nate, it wouldn’t have mattered much. Cats are infamous for being ultra-picky about their food.

As if Nate couldn’t have asked Scratch what he wanted for cat food for how long he has been on the ship, or the Captain.
