And our illegitimate president REFUSES to do anything about it. He won’t lift a finger to protect America.

Of course, that’s the ONLY reason Agent Orange is squatting in the White House, even after LOSING the election…

I believe the proper characterization of trump’s relationship to Wikileaks is giving aid and comfort to our enemy. Mueller said he gave them a “boost”.

Yesterday, two bills were brought to the senate floor that would work on preventing Russian meddling in the 2020 election. McConnell blocked both of them. Because, you know, patriotism.

There’s a difference here. The GOP refuses to admit that there was election meddling precisely because it favored them. We cannot afford to equalize the party that partook in treason with the party that called it out.

Get serious.. politics is a dirty business and the rules are written after the win and the winners team is in place. So.. the next election will be won with the full knowledge and encouragement of the Russian and foreign help. The only hope the Democrats have is to cozy up to perhaps Iran or China and hope they can help enough. In any case.. American policy is forever more dictated by foreign players.

As long as the interference is for the “Right People,” nothing will be done about it. But when the “Right People” have served their purpose and are no longer useful, then it will be too late. Let’s face it, Mr. Trump’s attitude and position of foreign interference goes only so far as his self-interest.

Mitch McConnell has done nothing to stop Russian hacking of the 2020 election.

I guess because Mitch is supported by a Russian oligarch who is building an aluminium factory in Kentucky.

Electronic voting is almost all proprietary (no way for outside programmers to examine its behavior). It is expensive. It is liable to hacking, either by outsiders or by the programmers who produced it. Oregon and Washington for two examples use paper ballots with the “fill in the oval” marking system. The counting is automated, but is neither complex nor online. The system is inexpensive, accurate and ballots can easily be stored for a later recount.

So naturally, states with GOP-majority governments have chosen the more expensive, less accurate, more hackable options. Voters in those states, it seems to me, have very good reason to elect folks who are more interested in saving money (and incidentally making their elections fairer… though that may actually seem like a downside to some of them).
