I’d love to have all the money that has been spent on fad junk!

Two thoughts. First, her store must be the size of the Mall of America. Second, where are the Flava Flav pectoral clocks?

I don’t think the Frisbee is a fad. There are actually professional tournaments and various team sports.

Most of these are way past their prime. She’s waiting for Fidget Spinners….i think that fad has past, too. (That said, I would love a troll….been about 5 decades since I’ve had one).

I’m not sure frisbees qualify as a fad. They’ve been around for 70 years and have spawned two sports, frisbee golf and ultimate frisbee. Ultimate frisbee is played as a team sport on virtually every college campus, is being offered as a varsity sport in high schools across the country, has professional leagues around the world and world championships. It is being considered for inclusion in the Olympics. Try that with a fidget spinner.By the way, where are the Clackers?

She should have a rack of Pop Rocks by the register.

I hear that ‘internet’ thing is just a fad. Does she have any of those?

It depends when Carla bought her inventory. On the up side of the fad or the down side of the fad. Hey Carla, you wanna buy some baseball cards, comic books, or a real nice G.I. Joe doll?

Where are the sea monkeys? I actually had a glass pendant (a small ball) that you could wear those in, in the early 70’s!

Mood rings? Deelyboppers? Macarena dance videos? Rabbit’s foots (feet?)?

I don’t think Slinkies belong there (unless you’re referring to the original brand-name ones).

Not necessarily the “latest”; some of those fads have been around for decades (Slinky is barely post-war, if actually not a bit before that.)

Smart store! Some of those things go for many times more than they sold for originally.
