I always wore P.F. Flyers!

I remember those PF Flyers. Took years for me to convince my parents to get me a pair for back to school. They were advertised to help you run faster and jump higher. Well I didn’t run faster or jump higher but I just had to try. (good times)

Anyone remember Red Ball Jets?

Don’t they make little red wagons too? LOL

Rover thinks his lead is so big, he’s taking a nap. You can still make it up the front steps before he does, Red. You know – like the tortoise and the hare!

Had a pair of red ball, but never had pf fliers. Ok, didn’t actually WEAR my red balls much.

Go look at “Cattitude – Doggonit” for some more vintage red ‘tennis’ shoes.

And then came Converse. And then came Pumas. Finally, Nike came and took over the world. The end.

The last thing that we wanted to be seen in was a blindingly bright white new pair of sneakers. Scuffing commenced as soon as we were out of the store.

I never had PF Flyers, but I remember when I graduated from red or blue Keds into the ultra-grade-school-chic white Keds. Hot. Stuff! By the time I was in the 8th grade I’d go to school with my white Keds wet from white shoe polish ‘cuz they had to be super-white or you just might as well DIE, y’know? Kinda like teeth today.

I’d like it if the strips reflected the day of the week better. It’s Sunday, Red isn’t riding on a school bus.

Since when did you worry about scuffs? Never!
