Actually Iā€™d say that a Pluggerā€™s truck was worth more than the dog food. Itā€™s an older model so it was built with pride and built to last-unlike the ā€œplastic and disposableā€ trucks of today.

If it gets you to where you want to go, does it really matter the shape itā€™s in.

My truck has bells and whistles. I kinda like them and miss them in trucks that donā€™t have them. But like any good plugger I intend to keep it until the wheels fall off or pass it down as part of our estate.

Passing the emissions test will double the value of my truck. Tell me a state that doesnā€™t require that, and Iā€™ll move.

The current value of the truck depends on how much gas is in the tank.

The value of any truck is not simply measured in DOLLARS. It is measured in its history, its helpfulness, its utility. I really enjoy the gentle perfume of pipe tobacco that permeates my truck as well. :)

Could be! Kendall Honda offered me $200 for my 2001 Volvo, and itā€™s way newer than my 89 Nissan PU!

Retired 15 months ago, sold my SUV and bought a ā€˜97 Chevy 4Ɨ4 with 350 and 81,000 miles. Happy as a kid starting summer vacation thatā€™ll never end. Iā€™m keeping my truck ā€˜till its wheels or mine fall off, whichever comes first, anā€™ not one day sooner. Yep, I use it to haul large bags of dog food, too.
