ponytail, oversized shirt, slightly torn jeans with safety pins… Elizabeth is going to rock the school alright

Elizabeth doesn’t get those ripped jeans unless someone is willing to pay for them. As for the oversized t-shirt, I wonder if Michael knows that Elizabeth is wearing his clothes.

I don’t recall this being in style back in 1980s or early ‘90s so I think the fashion was updated for modern day’s fashion trends. I see girls around in shredded jeans everyday but with jeans blended with spandex while Liz here is wearing 1980-’90s loosey jeans.

I don’t understand why people (both men and women) spend so much time about being fashionable. I myself dress for comfort first, then fashion. Keep it simple, stupid!

She also knows that bus drivers don’t care. Get up and dress earlier.

Gotta be in the popular set, right Elizabeth?

How quickly they grow up!

Seems to me Mike and Liz are growing up faster than they did in the original run. At this rate, the strip will run out much sooner.

I remember leggings and oversized t-shirts with sleeves rolled up. I still roll the sleeves up.

Yeah, it is important to look like you are casually untidy without really being messy.

Can someone explain to me why people ,not only, buy deliberately torn new jeans ,but pay exorbitant prices! :o[

We were making up a donation bag of clothing. My husband wanted to add in some of his old jeans. “Those are rags,” I said. “Not now,” he answered, “someone will think these torn jeans are fashionable.”

And, I remember when people thought buying pre-faded jeans was silly. We wore faded and torn jeans in the 60s and 70s, too. But back then, the holes were often embroidered over or patched.

My husband’s 501s got so torn up no one wanted them. He was always ironing on patches that didn’t stay or duct taping over holes.

This strip is a good argument for instituting a school dress code.

Jeans, even skin tight, are so much better than shorts or skirts that show b—- cheeks hanging out. Or worse.

Boy! The stuff kids get away with wearing these days!

Sure hope Elizabeth’s first class is Sewing 102, or else those jeans could quickly become embarrasing.

Elizabeth stop growing up, I can’t stand it.

When I was in high school (the OLD days) we had to wear a skirt and I was never one to follow any fashion that I recall. I kinda went my own way-still do- But am clean at least wrinkled clothes not withstanding.

It takes time to make looking that wrong, just right.
