Dealing with a muddy dog is much easier than dealing with what the alternative would likely have been. Hip-hip-hooray for Mortimer.

This is at least Mortimer’s second rescue. Both times handled anonymously – just as all true superheroes do.

I know the joke is that the family doesn’t know the things Mort does, but…I have so many questions. 1. If only an infant was left in the car, why? 2. Where are the owner(s) of the car and why aren’t they freaking out about the baby in it? 3. Was someone trying to get rid of the baby? 4. Did the rest of family not make, like some how the baby was thrown into the water where Mort can save it?
