You should come and pay attention more often, Michael!

Amazing. Of course, it won’t last very long.

And when your bedroom and locker resemble a post-cyclone state, welcome to my world.

Mine was very clean as I wiped it out twice a week especially in the winter when it snowed and I had to wear boots (I brought a garbage bag to put my boots in after wiping them down with paper towel from the bathroom). Janitors loved me as they never had to clean my locker inside or out. My mom got me a small bottle and filled it with vinegar and water I left in my pocketbook (I carried big ones….I bought them in the luggage department (I had everything in it). I can still remember my shorthand teacher breaking a nail and looking at me as if to say do you have clippers in there. I said yes Mrs. Ginolfi (can still remember her name) I have a pair of clippers and file and I gave her my nail kit. I wiped them down with my alcohol when I got home.

We had to share lockers. My locker-mate was a slob.

Haven’t been in a school for years, but it’s my understanding that lockers have been eliminated.

You should keep your locker that way, Michael. For when the bullies cram you in your locker.

The problem with my locker was location. It was far from every class I went to, so I had to carry books for the whole day or be late for class if I went to my locker. Back then, backpacks weren’t in general use.
