CV is an abbreviation for Curriculum Vitae. If a job advertisement asks for a CV, that’s a hint that the employer expects a great deal of life experience and accomplishments, including education, original research, presentations you’ve given and papers or books you’ve had published.
Horace will remain awake a long time because a curriculum vitae, commonly referred to as a “CV,” is a longer (two or more pages), more detailed synopsis than a resume. A CV should be clear, concise, complete, and up-to-date with current employment and educational information. This will be near impossible for Horace to put together as he doesn’t stay with anything more than say 9 panels…!
Horace the ebony Houyhnhnm shows us even in his young state he has learned much already. Counting in Roman numerals to language abbreviations. Just that he isn’t drifting off to sleep that way. He shouldn’t be thinking of anything but rest, calm, serenity. Horace—time for Yoga. And maybe brush up on your Sanskrit?

Wow. Thanks for putting the Arabic numerals at the bottom of each panel for the Roman-numeral impaired.

Interesting. So, all the papers are jumping the fence at the same speed?

If someone counts sheep in Roman Numerals, it’s no wonder they can’t sleep. Try watching reruns of golf instead.
