Eh, if the coach refuses to protect his players, the players have to do so themselves. (Sorry, was a hockey player. Someone takes a run at your goalie, you HAVE to take the bastard out. That’s the code, at any level, rules be damned.)
Haven’t we seen this before? Milford takes shots at the cheap shot artist and stops it. Maybe in this case it leads to a penalty and an ejection. Chance is protected but it costs them the game and any realistic chance at 2nd place. Chet blames Chance for this due to his wimpiness and lack of socializing.
As the EMTs work over the fallen Tilden player placing him on a body board Chet calls Hadley and explains that he has a personal injury lawsuit she might want to pursue , in all reality .
Guys, here was a high school football team! Pop’s brother lived in Hickory and we used to go see them some on Friday nights. This was the pre-integration days and this was the Black HS for Hickory back then. Pop and my uncle would go to the games but they wouldn’t take us kids with them so I never actually got to see these kids play back then.
Probably the best HS football team NC has ever had. Something made me think of this the other day and I just wasn’t sure if my memory of what they told me about this team was true or not. It was!
These refs are pathetic, ignoring #66’s violent humping of the Tilden player. Well, at least they’re missing calls both ways. And speaking of missing things, you don’t want to miss today’s Mopped Up Thorp!

P1, Showers! On 2!
P2, Gabe Salazar takes a page from True’s playbook and changes Gil’s play call completely.
P3, Taking out cheap shot artists was the best thing about playing OL. I did that more than a few times back in the old days.

Dobby did not mean to kill. Only maim. Or seriously injure.

For which Milford will likely draw the penalty and the cheap-shot Tilden linebacker will get away scot-free…

I thought yesterday The Mighty Finn would play enforcer. Gabe Salazar and Sam Finn. Best OL tag team since The Troys?

It wasn’t the block, it was the humping that got him ejected
