Update on our dog’s spider bite: After 8 days the eschar (we learn new words all the time) cap has come off the wound and it looks “beautiful” underneath, according to Nurse Wifey. The final size is roughly 3 inch diameter but it did not burrow down to the spine. Barring surprises she ought to recover with only a large scar.
