I haven’t read this before, so please don’t bring spoilers … but I wonder if “Elvis” does turn up, one way or another.

I’m glad that hair style became history.

I don’t know whether Elvis could help, but it might get people interested in voting if they believed that their vote actually counts. With the electoral college system, the votes of Democrats living in solidly red states, and the votes of Repulicans living in blue states get thrown away. Sure, they are counted first, but if you’re in the minority, you don’t get a representative in the electoral college (unless you live in Nebraska or Maine). If you used the popular vote, then all votes would count equally, no matter what party a person votes for, where he lives or how other people in his state vote.

In 1992 – the Post Office had a vote poll for which Elvis picture you wanted on the new stamps. They had vote ballots.

This year’s General Election is November 3. It appears this comic was run in 1992, so I’m wondering if the General Election in 1992 (which for President was Bush 41 vs. Bill Clinton vs. Ross Perot) was also on November 3? I know, I could look it up but I don’t feel like doing that. I’m more wondering if it is coincidental, or did today’s comic get changed to show the correct date?
