Chekhov’s Paving Stone: if a character mentions the cracked paving on Hirst Street on November 6, someone should trip over it later in the story.
The first two panels are new to this version; originally, it was just the second row of panels. (Gotta fill out the strips for the print version, but it’s definitely not unwelcome. The original does feel like the chase ended almost immediately, whereas this version the chase feels more like an actual chase scene.)

Dun dun DUNNN!
OK, now THAT’s a plot twist!
And will that yellow goo in panel two be important later?

I’m feeling the art is maybe a little Uderzo-ish in the first panel :-)

New story for the Cormorant – just what is that meat that they’re auctioning off in the market, anyway?

Shauna can’t let Lottie solve a mystery by herself. This is both sweet and a little worrying.

Shauna’a right. Red is all wrong as a color for summer knees.

That’s an awfully big kid riding in that stroller in panel 1.

And I’m guessing those are brothers running that meat auction. Perhaps even twins.
