I always say that when it comes to politics people vote with their hearts and not their brains. I’m not criticizing one group over another. It’s on all sides. Same with sports. They will always hate their main rivals without even knowing why.
Political parties are also the only way we have to actually get anything done in our currently system. So like them or not, they’re what we have. Which means you have to pick the one that most closely represents your wishes for the local, state, and national communities.
I was thinking that politics is like religious denominations… Oh wait, they tell us to avoid talking politics and religion? I think I’ll be quiet now and watch the Chevy and Ford fans debate, go Trekkies, may the force be with you.
Roy and Jay both have a good take on the problem. I think term limits would help. I have registered differently over the last several years because I didn’t like what someone was doing. I try to think about what is best for the Country as well as the world in general. Very Bottom of the list is religion, sport ( bicycle races the exception) and political party.
