Big Pink love that line from Bucky ! One of you guys give Pinkish a “Chill” pill ! Pinkish learn to live in the middle and not on an end you can fall off of ;-)
Oh Rob, Rob, you are going to wind up living in a cave wearing sackcloth and ashes. It is POSSIBLE for fossil fuels (which are in just about everything) to contain dinosaur/animal matter—and how are you going to know? You may not be able to drive your gas powered car.
I don’t know what Crazy Level 3 is but… Crazy Level 6 is thinking one cannot use animals (humanely) for human needs…. when nature itself has creatures killing one another right and left. Insects eat insects, carnivores eat herbivores, parasites do all sorts of nasty things, and a Praying Mantis kills its mate after the act.
So seriously, all this hullabaloo about using animals for human needs… where is that from? It’s just obsessive, overly-judgemental, hyper-restrictive personal opinion. I respect a person’s right to make that decision and that’s fine. I’m all for save the whales, because what they do to whales is truly inhumane. But painlessly killing a pig for bacon? That’s the way of nature. And then if they use the lard for cooking, the hair hair brushes, and other things to make soap and creams… well, the pig is already dead.
It’s not like the pig isn’t going to die eventually. Giving it a quick and humane death is far more decent an ending than letting it wither in painful old age. I don’t mean to be preachy, but sometimes one just has to think through these things. Animals don’t think like we do, don’t have the perception of impending death and doom that we do, and constantly off one another. Humans taking part in the food chain isn’t all that terrible… unless we do so in a terrible manner. Still, hard to imagine something more terrible than chasing something down and tearing it limb from limb in a feeding frenzy, eh?

“Washington Journal” on C-SPAN, 7-10 AM Eastern, daily. Where the lunatics come out and play. C-SPAN caller crazy indeed.

I know a guy who most years rides the Tour de France route for his vacation. He doesn’t compete, just flies over and rides the route.

Details. Sometimes the more you know about them, the less you want to know.

I love the conversation that Bucky and Satchel are having here. It’s one of the few times that we see them getting along.
