So is my night and so I feel in the morning, I am really tired, when I am supposed to get up!!

Rover is such a cutie.

Poor, exhausted Rover needs a nap to recover from his nap!

I can relate.

They are so cute and sweet when they are dreaming :))

During the 1980s, I saw a compilation of Robert Benchley spoof documentaries called “Those Wonderful Benchley Shorts”. One short in the compilation showed a man changing position in his sleep many times and Benchley commentated that its strange that people sleep to relax as “a game of basketball would be more relaxing.”

Robert Benchley was grandfather to Peter Benchley who was speechwriter to Lyndon B. Johnson and later wrote “Jaws”. The Robert Benchley shorts were produced in the 1930s, the compilation was made in the 1970s and I watched it on TV in the 1980s.

Rover and I rest about the same. I have never been a sleeper.

Just like me this morning. I need to exercise to be tired enough to go to sleep, but then I woke up with sore muscles at 3:10 and haven’t been able to get back to sleep.

Chasing squirrels!

We have always had pet beagles. When they dream and whimper and move like that we always joke they are dreaming that ‘the big rabbit’ is chasing them!

Loved hearing our dogs “boof” in their sleep!

In early summer, the apple tree in my backyard dropped small apples every day. I used a small rake like a lacrosse stick to toss them into the woods. My golden would chase them, and, when they landed under a shrub, she’d stick her head into it, and her tail would circle wildly in excitement. That was the only time her tail would do that. When her tail circled while she slept, I knew she was chasing apples in her sleep.

My Gracie snores and wiggles her toes sometimes in her sleep. I know those are disturbing dreams, bless her.
