I’ve always been curious why game rewards are so desirable to players. You get nothing of value for the effort, other than time wasted and MAYBE your mind exercised, depending on the game.
(I play Klondike Solitaire and/or Mahjong to unwind after a long day. No desire for “cash” winnings or not real “prestige”, just mind exercise. … and trying to get my percentage of won solitaire games above 37%… [sigh] Three or four games, then it’s to bed.)
All of that “cash” won in bingo, poker, or other games is not real. The award “plaques” are not real, and your not really a hero/conqueror/meanest guy/gal on the block.
It’s all fake and designed to lure you in and keep you there, and to make money for the game marketer.
Worse, there’s always the chance that combined with poor self-esteem and mental issues that a first person shooter game may give a player really bad ideas about trying it for real.

Their little hands are full of treat bags, it’s about the only time of the year they aren’t holding cell phones.
