Why oh why do American publications insist on measuring area in bloody football fields? Why not just give the dimensions in yards or feet or metres? Do they think we are so dumb that we can’t visualise that?

I couldn’t eat 80 cigs a day never mind smoke them. My Aunt used to smoke 60 a day until she was 94 and didn’t die of cancer, nor did her daughter who lived with her for 70 years and is still alive 16 years later.
