When asked, “What is best in life?” Conan the barbarian replied, “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!”
Janus, he ate over the sink and drank water from the faucet to not make a mess or dirty any glassware or dishes. Now you want him to wash the crumbs down the drain too? WOMEN!! THERE IS NO PLEASING THEM!! Next you will insist that he leave the seat down and not wear his shoes in the house.
Wow, Arlo ate over the sink so his crumbs wouldn’t fall on floor. Janis should be happy with that. Arlo, I guess you better eat over the trash can from now on.
Pretty sure Jimmy has a camera in my house because I get chewed out by my wife for dumping toast crumbs in the sink and fail to rinse them down. She never wipes the chrome faucet and I don’t rinse crumbs. Seems like a fair trade to me…
Give the lady what she wants & she might do the same for you. Besides, the seat AND the lid go down before you flush, once you understand spray patterns.
This must be part of lady-DNA. I have an ex, who after I cooked dinner AND did the dishes thew a hissy fit because I didn’t wipe the water spots off the faucet flange. Definitely one of the reasons she’s an ex. That was just the tip of that iceberg. Ladies, don’t sweat the little things if you’ve got a good man.

So we good people should kill the best?

I don’t even let the crumbs down the drain if I can help it, wipe them up and into the garbage bin.

“Best” is simply the upper end of a range of possibilities and “Good Enough” has better value.

My spouse once complained that I put a spatula away with the handle pointing the wrong direction. “Good grief Charlie Brown”.

Why? They will wash away the next time the water is used.

IMO, Janis has now passed Wilbur Weston and is catching up to Les Moore in the race for the Most Unlikable Character in the Comics award.

Janis should be happy that her husband eats over the sink instead of on the sofa.

I’d be thrilled to have my family eat over the sink instead of leaving crumbs on the floor.

Frankly, this doesn’t really sound like Janis. But then, nobody is perfect.

I’ve never understood this ‘eating over the sink’ thing. I see it occasionally in comic strips but cannot fathom it in reality.
