you’re not much for household chores, are you, earl?

You know all those people who DO seem to be making the world a better place? I bet they don’t do much in the way of chores. Earl’s just taking the first step here.

Practical Opal !

…and the barge needs toting, and the bale needs lifting, but let’s stick to two things at a time.

Kind of like the woman who told me about how large companies are polluting the country as she tossed her cigarette butt on the ground.

Haven’t you learned by now, Earl, never to give Opal an opening to respond!

Earl and Opal definitely have opposing views on what’s important in life.

She’s wound too tight! Opal needs to get a sense of humor already! Earl is more philosophical in his thinking….

Obviously, Earl prefers to view life in the abstract and existential, but Opal views it in practical, physical terms.

Sorry Earl, all the philosophical thought in the world ain’t gonna get those windows washed or floor mopped. There’s No Exit!
