Some time, some where, I do believe I read that Samuel Langhorne Clemens would allow a cat to fall asleep on his arm, and then, even though he might wish to go do something else besides write for a while, he would restrain from waking up the cat just for his convenience.
Apparently Mark Twain admired the his cats as much as I do mine. =^_^=
Our cat had an unfortunate intestinal condition and most times he wasn’t a cuddler. We knew he was in pain when he jumped on our lap for comfort and body heat.
Colitis means inflammation of the colon so that new word doesn’t fit. Colonoscopy is the use of a colonoscope to investigate the colon for polyps and other things.

With our cat you might very well end up inflamed — or at least lacerated — if you insisted on having her in your lap.

If you breath in too much of the cat hair, it’ll be colitis.

Doubt Ms Plainwell would have been so forgiving had the excuse been because I was watching cat videos on the Funny Pet Channel

As puns go, this one is pretty excremental.

I thought even in MI it was understood that “…itis” referred to an infection.

One of the best things about retirement is giving in to C.O.L. (as I am now).

And when you get a colonoscopy, is the device they use called a colitiscope? It should be. That’s just good marketing.

Nope. “itis” means inflammation…..not syndrome…..

What is it with cat owners that they won’t just move their animal when they need to get up?

-itis doesn’t mean “syndrome,” it means “inflammation of.”
