It really is a very dsmall world. Grew up in a small town on Lake Michigan. Bought my Camaro after I got back from Vietnam from him. A year later I was assigned to a base( now closed) in Northern Cal. As it was winter, I took I-10 all the way across the country(1972). Stopped at a gas station out in the desert(way back before self serve gas) the clerk started pumping gas-and as I had dress uniform hung in the back-with name tag, he looked a car dealer decal, then asked if my fathers name was Frank-which it was-said he had worked as a deckhand on a commercial fishing boat with my father, back before he got his railroad job. 2,500 miles from home, in the middle of the desert, I ran into a guy who grew up with my father pre WWII. Yes it really is a small world. and we can run into people we know, anywhere in the world

It’s a small world but I wouldn’t want to have to paint it.

Yeah, I knew him. Its’ been years. Last time I saw him, he was still running a chop shop in a warehouse down by the river.

The world of people stealing cars in one city (even a big city) is probably not so big that they don’t run into each other now and then.
