That classic hat was first designed and made by my 15th degree great grandmother, Constant (Constance) Hopkins so they wouldn’t have been wearing them when they landed.
In fact, those folks never called themselves pilgrims. That name came from others a long time after. Also, these were not nice people so I wonder why they’re so revered. They weren’t looking for freedom of religion, they were looking for freedom to force people into just one (hateful) religion.
