    I’m guessing because most, if not all, islands are encircled by beaches, and palm trees rarely grow so close to the water, this island was originally a lot, lot bigger before the oceans started rising. Maybe there were even a few small houses there.

    I guess with the extra time allowed, with the use of computer graphics, the comic creators can afford to be more expansive in their art form. I am thinking this whole computer fad is finally showing some promise.
