Good morning crew, in comics-lover news, the Far Side website went âliveâ yesterday. Itâs reprints, but with a chance of occasional new material. (itâs at thefarside dot-com, which I wonât directly link to out of respect to our gracious hosts)
From the Admin who takes minutes at one of our Morning Huddles: According to Roger Highfield, author of the book âThe Physics of Christmas: From the Aerodynamics of Reindeer to the Thermodynamics of Turkeyâ, Rudolphâs red nose is likely the result of a parasitic infection of his respiratory system.
Some cops are hard asses. Many are not. I recall with fondness an incident when I worked shift work at an industrial plant that produced car parts for the major automakers. I had gotten off of work at 1 am and after a bus let me off at a stop closest to home I had to walk several blocks home. I had bad arthritis in my left ankle and it had flared up considerably that particular night. I had been limping badly. A cruiser pulled up to me and two officers inquired as to how I was? I told them my problem and they offered to take me home. So I hopped into the cruiser and they drove me directly home. I so appreciated their assistance as I had dearly needed help. I was having much difficulty walking. âTo serve and protectââthey certainly served me that night!

And here I thought the pixie dust came from TinkerBellâs factory and enabled the sleigh and reindeer to fly.
