I liked René. Met him a few times at the Big Apple Con in NYC. He was very friendly and outgoing, and each time he saw me he remembered me and greeted me enthusiastically, by name. I did some drawings for him, including a caricature. Even seeing him only those few times, he had a way of making one feel like old friends.
I was just watching him in the 1976 King Kong Saturday, I have a pic of him as Odo in my office that reads “You have to be flexible to be security chief.” Farewell Rene.

I am constantly amazed by how quickly the creative team here is able to create and post comics honouring those who pass away.

He was Paul Lewiston of Crane, Poole and Schmidt in Boston Legal, a show I still enjoy watching.

He was good. One of those people that I recognized in almost everything he did – before I read the credits. R.I.P.

He was one of those stable of actors I was always happy to see in anything they were doing.
