Not only wolves, but many species on the brink of extinction…many are dying in the forest fires around the world, and many are being killed for their horns, scales and skins and then there’s deforestation…..
When the Yellowstone Caldera it won’t matter, but in the meantime it is nice that we have people and organizations that try to protect certain species from extinction.
It’s hard for me to “Heart” the comics like this because it SO distresses me that the state of the world is what it is… OH! WHAT CAN WE DO TO SAVE THE ANIMALS? And us? :(
Angel, this cartoon is wrong. We are aware of the small number of 40 left. However there are 200 red wolves living in breeding facilities. This species is on the rise that’s what were doing. As far as yourself, it you want to save you, become a Vegan, preferably one that doesn’t rely on salt, sugar or oil. That will save you.
Will, the answer to your question is simple – republican hunters simply haven’t found the 18 or the 40 or however many there are in the wild, yet – but they will, Will, they will – and if they can’t shoot them, they’ll kill them by destroying their habitat.
The more we pave over for the sake of “comfort”, the more we destroy living beings that also have a right to live here. We humans keep spreading and destroying their homes, killing them off in various ways. We humans are continuing to destroy the planet through many ways, deforestation, depleting all resources as fast as we can, spiralling the demise of the planet. The animals have no choices. They have to live (or die) by our choices. Historically, the earth has managed a “purge” every so often. We are just helping it to happen more quickly.
(I’d say to forgive the buzzkill, but this strip’s content already did that.)
I “love” people that move to rural areas and then call animal control to complain about and remove the wildlife in their yards . my response – they were here first.

Let’s hope Will doesn’t learn about the 480 million animals being killed in Australia.

And that’s before the eastern coyotes move in to share genes with them.

A bit preachy for a strip that is supposed to be funny.

Neither do I. I can’t comprehend the killing for the sake of killing. Trophy hunters are a scourge.
