What is success?

Success is being happy with what you have.

I’m in favor of the fine-as-it-is couch, but only on weekends. Weekdays, seems like you’re being paid to chisel steps into success mountain so your boss will be able to climb it more easily.

Success is merely an evaluation of you by others who’s scale of achievement does not or may not coincide with your own internal scale. If you go by your own scale then you really are a success!

The funniest thing to me about strips like this is that they are the exact opposite of who Pastis is and his story.

and as one male of the species explained long time ago, the couch seems to draw me like a magnet. The dilemma for said males of the species is being the first one to grab it. Problem solved by female of the species who stuffed home with 5 of them, sofas that is only to be blamed for putting something in the gravity most likely some kind of knock out drug preventing cleanup after same meal.

success is achieving desired aims and pig has done that.

If at first you don’t succeed quit.

Been there done them, and prefer the latter retirementing.

Taking the slide is just accepting an illusion instead of recognizing your failure.

What the strip leaves out is that you have to climb to the top of Success Mountain to reach the start of the Easy Slide.

The hard climb up Success Mountain might be more appealing if there was a better chance of reaching the peak rather than becoming trapped in Mediocrity Canyon.
