Goodness, gracious. Elly is 3 times wider than Connie when you put them side-by-side. Plus it looks like Elly’s left leg is about to buckle under all that weight in the final panel.

Maybe she will go a day long and make it to March 27th my wife’s birthday!

Before my nephew was born, I was told it was going to be in December, but he came early that November (on U.S. Thanksgiving Day).

My dad’s birthday was March 26. But they name the baby April so maybe she’s born late.

My first daughter’s due date was 10/31; she held off until 11/5. There were complications which necessitated a c-section.

When talking to our [new] doctor when expecting our second, the doc let us cut to the chase and scheduled a c-section. Her due date was 2/21. My husband’s plan was asking for the following week off so that he would be home when I was, and could take care of everything while I recovered from surgery. When he asked for that week off, his boss said that someone else already put in for it; could he take the NEXT week? My husband told him sure; but if the baby came on time or earlier, he was TAKING the necessary week off. Thankfully, our girl held off: we had scheduled the c-section for 2/28, and I actually started having labor pains literally that morning.

I remember April is born on April 1. Why? Because it’s MY birthday, too.

Personal experience (plus the experiences of sibs and friends) has taught me that, in trying to predict baby arrival dates, one would possibly achieve more accuracy by using chicken feathers and the bones of small rodents.

    Lynn’s Comments:

Elly in the last panel was fun to draw. I wanted to show exactly what it feels like to be in the 9th month of pregnancy and I think this did the trick!

My mom kept arguing with her doc when she was pregnant with my sister. He set her due date at April 29th and my sister was born on May 21st. Mom looked at the doc and said “Told ya so.”

My Mom told me numerous times that I was late so maybe my future baby will be late too. The cycle will continue lol

I was supposed to be born in March, but apparently I was impatient and contrary right from the moment of conception, because I decided to come almost a month early and put my mother through 23 hours of labor with complications!

I would think that women who have had stillborn children would kinda qualify. But I’m a guy.
