Susie will not join any club that will have Calvin as a member.

Hobbes said “El Tigre” which actually reminds me of that Nickelodeon show of the same name. Anyone else agree?

if Susie joins, then the club might have to be renamed GROSS: Go Recruit Overly Sweet girlS (or something like that)

Good idea Susie will help make a voting block against you know who.

Surely Susie would elect herself as “Empress from here to eternity” .

If she joins, Susie and Hobbes can overthrow the Supreme Dictator.

Aren’t there 535 members of that club?

Well at least it would be more fun wrestling with Susie.

Watterson uses few characters in the strip and some of them don’t even have a name, only a title like the principal and mom and dad. Other characters are usually known only by their first names with the exception of Ms. Wormwood.

Susie has the distinction of being the only character, to the best of my knowledge, to have both a first and last name.

And we’re back to square one!

Buckeye tree? I didn’t know (until now) that Calvin lived in Ohio.

What a perfect strip to run on International Women’s Day.

Don’t let Susie join. The by-laws will have to be rewritten.

I could just read this over and over and over and over, infinitely.

It might alleviate Calvin’s neurosis to have another actual sentient being in the club.

As a retired landscape architect, I declare for today’s GROSS meeting minutes that Buckeyes and American Yellowwoods are the most beautiful trees in north America. I also second the motion.

This is by far, one of my favorite Calvin and Hobbes strips of all time.

I love the way that Calvin can hold his own when fighting with a tiger! The kid’s a little pit bull!

Susie just wouldn’t understand what Calvin and Hobbes have going on there. It’s a guy thing, really.

This club is way too high for we commoners to even comprehend. The lawyers language is the last straw. Hobbes is bent upon getting cuite Susie on roll. That addition will make the gross club complete.

This tree top impeachment is way better than that happening in corridors of power.

El Tigre Numero Uno translates to Tiger Number One. Basically, the same position he has when he’s First Tiger Hobbes.

I like this one. Haven’t seen the club in awhile.
