    I’ve known a lot of redheads and never yet seen one actually get tanned. Burned, yes. Freckles, yes. Tan, no.

    I am/was a redhead. I played a lot of baseball in my youth without sufficient skin protection. Now 60 plus years latter my dermatologist and I have regular meetings.

    It is what we should call be getting more of to make our Vitamin D necessary to keep our immunity to sickness up!!!.. without the cancer causing sun block of course!!… which stops the good rays from getting to our skin…

    Time was, a pale skin was considered a mark of “beauty”, because only the rich could afford to avoid working in the sun.

    Now, it’s the opposite, since only the rich can afford significant leisure time to spend outside in the sun.
