I couldn’t even walk into that cave, let alone stay long enough to name the spiders.

I prefer “Tom” , “Dick” and “Harry”, though “Huey”, “Dewey” & “Louie” would work.

What about Aragog ??

Every spider that made it into my house is named Boris, after the Who song.

Would that Death Eater be Lucius Malfoy?

Wonder what other flying pests would be hanging out in the cave if not for the gatherers

“Shelob”

“Kracken” should be good name for one of them.

You forgot Shelob and Ungoliant.

Stormbringer, that would have been a good name for one.

No! CUTE names, like Black Widow, Wolf Spider, Brown Recluse…

If you leave them alone, they’ll leave you alone. Had to do an extended article on spiders when I was a young journalist: they are AMAZING creatures, and produce the strongest product of the animal world. Scientists have ongoing studies/experiments to reproduce spider silk synthetically. As far as I’m concerned, just the fact that they attack cockroaches is enough for me to love the little eight-legged babies.

He’s not rich in spider-sense.

In Australia, a fear of spider is a minimal necessary survival skill…

If I were to see a quick-moving spider, I might name him “Porsche 718 Spyder.”

‘Death Eater’ is appropriate, spiders do consume some very nasty bugs for us!

We had a tarantula we rescued from a home that didn’t want it. Named it Harry the Hairy Tarantula. But I was still afraid to let it out of the tank.
