Dropped FB about 5 years ago after finding it of little interest beyond my few friend contacts. The occasional phone/email contact, holiday cards, and letters were better for us. And, as for photos of vacations and gatherings, I copy them to a cd or dvd with a personalized cover for each family. They can see the scenes on larger screens instead of squinting at a 2×4 screen. Also makes pics easier to find as compared to the Wait, I know it’s on here somewhere model so often heard.

Very sad sign of the times.

I’m not sure what those terms ‘likes, shares, etc.’ are, and I am strangely glad for it. Always had a gut instinct to stay away from social media.

I have 15, count ’em, 15 Facebook friends and I know every one of them personally.
About half are nieces and nephews who post pictures of their kids.
I’ve had my account for about 4 years now and have made about as many posts.

Hmm..those “shares” must include good gossip.
