Most girls I have worked with keep a pair of shoes at their desks. Mainly so they can wear comfortable to and from work, would have Sue to be that organized.
Own it. Say, “Yeah, I thought with today being ‘Casual Friday’ and all, I’d wear my bunny slippers.” Chances are people would lose interest as soon as you put up air quotes for ‘Casual Friday’.
I see no problems here. I have “killer bunny” (Monty Python) slippers at work. I often wear them when me feet are hurting. I really like to wear them when I interview prospective new developers to see if I get a reaction
the girls at my work would not have a problem (as they keep a pair of casual dress shoes in their desk as they constantly wear tennis shoes (or Snow Boots) in
I am fortunate that my work allows me to wear cross-fit(?) shoes – because I have to wear orthotics and have a certain stability level in my shoes and the cross-fit shoes are perfect! I just make sure I stick with gray/black color combos so they are not flashy. Which is fine with me because I am NOT the flashy kind.
I once worked with a woman who came to work one day with only—-I guess you could say half of her makeup on? One eye was completely made up——eyeshadow, liner, mascara, the works——and the other eye had nothing.
Heh, right now I’m mostly wearing knit trousers to work because of a healing surgical scar and the waistline. The comparison to pajamas has been made more than once. Luckily, the bosses are cool with it even though they tease me.

I’ve done that twice in my life with fuzzy animal slippers but I was able to realize my error before I got to the car, thank goodness.
