La ansiedad de separación del teléfono no es buena en esta época (phone separation anxiety isn’t good in this age).

When we watched television by gaslight we sat next to our phones. They were hard wired. To the wall.

I know one teenager and his tweenage brother who’s going to be spending a lot of time away from the phones, the game boy, the computer (except for study), and the television!

The parents just found out that the boys have got to retake their end of year exams because they failed them. They’d goofed off and spent more time on the internet, playing games and watching t.v. when they should have been cracking the books. Because both boys are very smart, they figured they could get by without studying.

Needless to say, they are learning the painful lessons of their actions ( or inaction ). There will be much tighter supervision of studies in the future, not only by Dad and Mom but by their Abuela and me!

AWW, poor baby. Unlike the millions of “teenagers” who don’t know where their next meal will come from or those who learn first hand the horrors of war. You’re soooo abused……….

Talking to a HS student(grade 12) recently, he told me that they could have their phones during tests. Riiight, of course no one will cheat.

Sad, but true. Kids nowadays can’t go without their phones for very long.
