National Toothache Day. If there’s anything that does NOT deserve to have a “holiday”, this certainly qualifies.
National Cut the Cord Day. When I first saw this, I thought “cut the cord” meant the same as “cut the purse strings” – stop relying on your parents for support. So I looked deeper into this one and it’s about cutting your cab;e TV. Here is part of what it said about Cut the Cord Day -
“Break free from expensive cable bills on February 9th by celebrating National Cut the Cord Day! The streaming movement has rapidly grown over the past five years, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping. As the digital world supplies more choices, it also provides the flexibility, selection, and reliability we’ve been looking for. So it’s no surprise that industry analysts estimate that up to six million people will cut the cord on traditional TV subscriptions in 2020.
As the devices for streaming continue to grow, more people look to cut the cord from cable. Whether binge-watching old favorites or catching the evening news, cord-cutters can customize a channel lineup for half the price of cable."
I was just reading yesterday’s comments and see that I haven’t been heard from in a while. I never ever miss Ten Cats but don’t feel much like conversation these days. Most of you know the draining experience of losing a loved one, and Craig’s loss is no exception. He was a wonderful man, I miss him terribly and am so very sad that he got cheated out of the life he should have had. Thank goodness for Fred and Little Guy insisting that we get out of the house to take a long walk each day.
I found 3 white throated sparrows trapped in the chicken’s porch today. They get in through the wee chicken door right on the ground, then fly up and can’t remember where they came in. So I fed the chickens their snack way down their run, and opened the door to the chicken porch so the sparrows could fly out. I also loaded another 1/4th cord of wood to take to my daughter’s as she was out of wood. Then I found a guy who would bring an emergency cord for $175 today and he was prompt, dumped it out the back of the dump truck, took his cash and headed back to the other side of the county. So she has some dry wood from me and plenty for when this next deluge of rain ends.

I’m not sure Chesney was the best choice to take to the market.

Woof is always at risk of having words put in his mouth. Good call, Annie. (And notice Annie spelled Lilly with one L – ????).

I very much doubt, Chesney, that Woof would want two cases of caviar.

I’ve never had caviar. To be honest, I don’t have any desire to try it. On another note, saw a varied thrush while out walking today.
