    Lol, and the argument continues!

This may not be my favourite strip, but I think Lennie Peterson is fast becoming my favourite cartoonist.

Look at it this way. You gave those people something to talk about when they meet with their master who will then tell them what to type the next time they see something like that. And they will obey their master. Or a Forbes magazine will be used on them.

Lennie, you could replace that picture of Pelosi with a picture of Sinead O’Connor tearing up that picture of the pope back in the ‘90’s and still use the same punchline. Except you’d probably be getting different hate mail…

Politics are a part of life no matter what anyone thinks. Comics depict parts of life. The two will intermesh on occasion. The people who can’t take that shouldn’t be reading the comics. That said, the main message in the comic wasn’t political …. it was cat-ical. Thanks for the picture of the rat to clarify things.

I thought it was a politically neutral comic, mildly funny and cute. Revisiting the strip though, I raise a curious eyebrow to the first panel asterisk “I love babysitters”. Seemingly, a real non sequiter.

Okay, one more comment. If this is directed to me, shame on you. Directed at a few of us? Still shame on you. We are loyal fans who appreciate your work, click on the Like button, share your strips with friends and family on social media, and have commiserated and laughed with you, and admired you. This public attack is way out of proportion to what I (or anyone else) commented, and I have to wonder if, despite appearances, Homeslice has thicker skin than you. Myreaction was to Unfollow because I was shocked when I saw this, but hell no, it’s your tantrum, not mine.

Wow! I had to go back and read the comments from Friday. Reminds me why I no longer open Facebook. But, Lennie, do you think you may have over reacted? (If you don’t like what I’m saying, get out!) Don’t people have a right to their opinions? I thought the strip was clever and a bit amusing and never took it as a political statement but I can see where some might have. Everyone should just chill. Be like Home Slice.

    Touch a nerve, did we?

    Snerks

Keep doin’ what you’re doin’. I’ll still be here doin’ what I do.

In my defense, I’ve never had a cat and was unaware of the crumple toy.

Love your strip. There is just so much political crap on the news feeds, tv, magazines, everywhere you turn. Some of us love comics to escape some of the sniping no matter which side, if either, you are on. Not a knock on you, just the angst of the day to day. And yes, I have 3 cats, they care not who throws the paper, dangles the string or tinks the food bowl!

Lennie, I love your strip. I cried when Ginger passed. I love Homeslice. Not sure I know where the name came from, but that’s ok. My daughter named her favorite childhood doll Spice Rack. I don’t question. Keep up the good work and don’t let the whiners bring you down.
